ABT Audi AS5
The Audi A5 has always been known as a sporty yet discreetly designed vehicle, and Abt Sportsline took that concept to a new level. As their managing director, Hans-Jürgen Abt, explains, "The design of the Abt AS5 was definitely a challenge, but I'm thrilled with the results." They crafted a body kit comprised of a front skirt with a grid element that accentuates the single-frame grill and fog lights, as well as curved, laterally-mounted body parts, a sleek gill-shaped air-inlet, a rear spoiler, and a rear skirt fitted with diffuser optics. Not only does it enhance the vehicle's appearance, but Abt also installed a 4-pipe rear muffler to give the AS5 a signature Abt sound.
The real thrill begins when you rev the engine. The Audi A5's 3.0 TDI engine just got much more powerful, with Abt increasing its power output from 240 hp to 272 hp (200 kW). And that power can be even further boosted with the extra Abt turbo charger, taking it up to a whopping 300 hp. To make sure that power is put to the wheels effectively, Abt outfitted this model with an adjustable sports suspension and a brake system with a disc diameter of 380 millimeters.
Finally, to make sure the Abt AS5 is as stylish on the outside as it is powerful, Abt recommends their AR wheels in sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches, along with appropriate sport tires.
