When racecar drivers slide into a road car for a few laps at the track, it has to be something special. Audi has achieved the perfect car with its RS6, as evidenced by its use as a safety car for the DTM Season, where drivers Laurent Aiello and Christian Abt often took the limousine and Avant for jaunts. Abt Sportsline has now taken the RS6 and given it an extra boost- a powerful 371 kW (505 hp) engine and a maximum torque of 630 Nm. Put that together and you have a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.6 seconds!
The outside looks are refined with the addition of a four pipe exhaust system which adds to the already sporty appeal of the vehicle and its connection to its Kempten backstory. To perfectly match this power, Abt Sportsline has chosen the SP2 wheel rims in 9×20 inches, fitted with 255/30 R20 ContiSportContact2 tyres, for the best possible contact between the quattro-drive and the asphalt. Adding to the wheels is the newly designed Champion wheel covers with a silver coating and black letters commemorating Laurent Aiello’s season-winning campaign.
Braking is particularly important when dealing with so much power, which is why the Abt Sportsline brake system has been mounted to the front and rear axels of the RS6. Double-ventilated disks on the front measuring 380x32mm and on the rear measuring 322x32mm provide more stability and a greater brake performance, thanks to increased pistons and durability.
