Abt Sportsline is determined to bring the ultimate open-air experience to the cabriolet version of the Audi TT. They have developed a new sports suspension for the coupe that improves the car's agility, reducing its height by up to 30 millimetres. With the combination of the new 19-inch Abt rims and a high-grade steel exhaust manifold, the TT Roadster gets a powerful aesthetic upgrade that stands out among its production line cousins.
The performance of the Abt TT Roadster is commensurate with its sporty appearance. Abt has modified the electronics of the engine to increase its power output from 165 kW to 184 kW, and in the model year 2001, a power output of up to 228 kW (310 hp) is achievable. Abt steel-braided brake lines add a level of durability and improved response to the brake pedal.
To heighten its individual appearance, Abt offers a comprehensive body kit for the TT Roadster, with a spoiler and rear diffuser that optimize its driving stability and safety. Other highlights include a front grille with two centre struts, Abt floor mats, a gear lever knob and shifting gate ring crafted from aluminium, and a laser-engraved Abt logo on the fuel tank cap.
Customers have the freedom to design their own personalised Abt TT Roadster, thanks to a range of components from 17" to 19" wheels and engine kits offering performance increases of up to 235hp (173kW). Abt also offers a performance enhancement of 191 kW (260 hp) for the "smaller" 180 hp version of the TT Roadster.
