ABT Audi TT Sport Roadster

Everything's possible - that's the motto of Abt Sportsline in Kempten. It's only natural for the world's leading tuner of Audi and VW cars to add that extra touch of spice to the cabriolet version of the sportscar from Ingolstadt. Even the standard version is a delicacy but after a few days in Kempten the Abt TT Roadster ensures the ultimate open air experience.

Abt Sportsline has come up with a sports suspension to boost the open TT's agility. Adjustable compression and rebound of the dampers allow for a myriad of personal settings. With a lowering of up to 30 millimetres, a low centre of gravity is preserved along with stability on the road at all speeds. The package is even more appealing when coupled with Abt's choice of 19 inch rims, a high-grade steel exhaust manifold featuring four tail pipes, a rear body apron with integrated channel covers as well as a sporty and unique look.

Apart from its appealing appearance, the Abt TT Roadster comes with impressive performance too. Thanks to revised electronics, the engine's power output is increased from 165 kW to 184 kW (225 to 250 hp) or 195 kW (265 hp). From the model year of 2001, the horsepower can be as high as 213 kW (290 hp) or 228 kW (310 hp). Also included are Abt's steel-braided brake lines which reduces chances of fading and damage when driving through gravel, in addition to improving the brake pedal feel. The sports suspension enables cornering at higher speeds.

A comprehensive bodykit gives the open sportscar a distinct presence. A spoiler and rear diffuser offers greater driving stability and safety. Look closer and you'll find a front grille with two centre struts, a laser-engraved Abt logo on the fuel tank, Abt floor mats, a gear lever knob and an aluminium shifting gate ring for that extra touch of refinement.

For those who want to customise their Abt TT Roadster into a more personal beast, the options are limitless. Abt offers 17", 18", and 19" five-spoke rims, along with ContiSportContact tyres for an alternative to the standard wheels. Moreover, a 180 hp version of the TT Roadster can be further enhanced with five different engine kits for a higher performance of 143-173 kW (193- 235 hp). The top performance enhancement for this engine has a 191 kW (260 hp) output.
