Tracing its legacy back to the 1920s and 1930s, Skoda has once again made its mark in the luxury segment with the new Superb. As expected, a few short weeks following its debut, Abt Sportsline made its presence known with several sporty accents. The Abt Superb reprises the combination of comfort and luxury, while Abt's rear spoiler with integrated third brake light adds a sporty-elegant touch. The car is also lowered by around 35-40 mm through Abt springs.
Skoda's new flagship offers a range of petrol and diesel engines, offering great potential for Abt's engineers to maximize its capabilities. After optimizing the engine management system, Abt Sportsline was able to easily boost the 1.8 litre turbocharged engine from 110 kW (150 bhp) to 142 kW (193 bhp). Moreover, the 1.9 litre TDI-engine and 2.5 TDI engine were increased to 114 kW (155 bhp) and 132 kW (180 bhp) respectively.
Abt Sportsline also provides a range of top-class light alloy wheels, ranging from 7 x 15 inch to 9 x 19 inch, all of which feature a classic five-spoke-design and renowned Continental tyres. For maximum control, Abt's steel flex brake lines enable improved brake performance with less pedal force.
