Abt Sportsline has dedicated itself to the all-terrain VW Touareg for the first time—a grand unveiling two years ago. Now, Abt have released an extensive tuning programme, which includes power upgrades and body parts for the luxury SUV. For example, the Abt Touareg VS10 with its 5-litre diesel engine now produces 370 HP, has improved response behaviour, and includes a sport brake system on the front axle for added safety.
RTL presenter Sonja Zietlow quickly recognized the potential of the Abt Touareg VS10, after reading a test report, and bought it shortly after. She spoke highly of her purchase, appreciating the power combined with room for her two dogs, and even a golf bag in the boot.
Abt’s new Level Control (ALC) raises or lowers the Touareg up to 60 millimetres for improved cross-country mobility. Fit with a “Sport” adjustment, the car can be lowered further for enhanced driving dynamics and tightened dampers. Designers spruced up the bodywork of the SUV too, with tune-ups like a front grill, rear skirt, rear wing, wheel arch extensions, and a four-pipe Abt rear muffler. Abt offer new 19 and 22-inch sport wheels to complement the ContiSportContact tyres for an extra athletic look.
