AC Schnitzer BMW X1
The BMW X1 has been welcomed to the compact vehicles segment for its delightful "Driving Pleasure" quality. At the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, AC Schnitzer BMW X1 made its world premiere, boasting its brand new standards for driving pleasure among its premium compact segment. The BMW X1 comes equipped with a 6-cylinder petrol engine or three 4-cylinder diesel power plants. The BMW X1 xDrive23d features an increased 150 kW/204 HP diesel engine, with BMW TwinPower Turbo and Common Rail injection that upgrades the power to 240 HP. The AC Schnitzer tuning package for the 2.0 d and 1.8 d units allow for Common Rail injection and a turbocharger, providing them 211 and 171 HP respectively, and is applicable both for the sDrive and xDrive versions. The AC Schnitzer engine styling is accessible for vehicles with or without a performance upgrade.
As for the acoustics, the AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer for the petrol BMW X1 xDrive 28i amplifies the sport experience. The "Racing" tailpipe trim which is tailored for all models, provides matched elegance. To top off the BMW X1s already impressive driving behaviour focussing on agility, precision, and handling, the AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit and aluminium strut brace assure the perfect balance between sport performance and driving comfort.
The AC Schnitzer aerodynamics package emphasises the X1's expressive styling and improves downforce and ground adhesion with its front spoiler, rear skirt extension, and rear roof spoiler. The engine bay venting is optimized by the AC Schnitzer Bonnet Vents, and chromed centre webs are available as an option. The silver "Exclusiv" carbon interior trim, illuminated leather gear knob, aluminium gear knobs, "Black Line" aluminium cover for the i-Drive system controller, aluminium handbrake handle and pedal set, foot rests, velours foot mats, and set of attractive wheels is sure to bring a youthful yet sporting appeal to the interior of the AC Schnitzer BMW X1. The newest Type VIII wheel is a 5 double spoke BiColor Finish wheel in 19", an evolution of the Type VI wheel and a perfect complement to the BMW X1's style language. Additionally, AC Schnitzer presents the Type IV wheels in silver or BiColor in 18, 19, or 20 inch as well as the Type VI rim in 18 inch.
