AC Schnitzer ACS1 BMW 1-Series Coupe

The BMW 1-Series Coupé is a worthy successor not only in proportions but also technically to the BMW 2002. In the 70s the standard version was graced with a "charged" engine and the prestigious Turbo logo on the front spoiler, and now AC Schnitzer from Aachen has made more than its logo available in its refinement package for the 1-Series Coupé. The AC Schnitzer bodykit, which comes with a front grille, front spoiler elements, rear skirt insert, rear wing and rear roof spoiler, all serves the purpose of increasing downforce and improving ground adhesion. To further reduce the torsion of the body, AC Schnitzer supplies optional aluminium struts as used in motorsport and a strut brace for the front. Furthermore, Manfred Wollgarten – Technical Director at AC Schnitzer and Touring Car driver – has set up the sports suspension for the ACS1 3.5i on the Nürburgring North Loop. Thanks to the biturbo engine, boosted by AC Schnitzer to 360HP (265kW) and a maximum torque of 450 Nm, the ACS1 3.5i can sprint to 100 km/h in less than five seconds and reach a top speed of 300 km/h. And this performance is further enhanced by the AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer with its "Racing" tailpipe. As the perfect complement, the Type IV "BiColor" rims in size 8.5Jx19" with tyres 225/35R19 finish off this special 1-series Coupé. Finally, drivers can also revel in the interior AC Schnitzer components including controls and decor elements of aluminium and carbon.
