AC Schnitzer ACS3 3Series E46 Convertible
The BMW 3-series has been a major success story, as showcased by its face lifted Coupe and Convertible variants. Eye-catching retouches serve to heighten the vehicle's inherent sportiness, and so AC Schnitzer was keen to create a unique aerodynamic conversion that complements the new style cues. To this end, the Coupe and Convertible have been fitted with a bespoke front spoiler and rear skirt, along with an array of additional parts from the existing range, such as side skirts, sports mirrors, a rear roof spoiler, a rear spoiler and a wing. Variants with M-Technik bodystyling come with an AC Schnitzer front flipper and a corresponding insert for the rear skirt.
AC Schnitzer has also ensured that several of its special developments for the E46 range are tailored to the face-lifted model. These include the Short Shift, reducing the gear shift travel, and the High Performance Brake System for the front axle. For the first time, BMW offers a 3.0 liter diesel engine in the 3-series Coupe, and AC Schnitzer has further refined its diesel performance upgrade to deliver an impressive 180 kW (245 HP). With a torque of 460 Nm at 2870 rpm, the Coupe can reach a top speed of 248 km/h and accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
