The 2013 Acura RDX is the second generation of Acura's five-passenger crossover SUV, offering advanced performance and fuel efficiency. It features a 4-wheel independent suspension with MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear design, a longer wheelbase and a wider track, plus a lower center of gravity to improve handling and ride quality. Chassis technology for the 2013 RDX includes the Acura-exclusive Amplitude Reactive Dampers and a Motion Adaptive Electric Power Steering system. It is available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions.
The 2013 RDX comes with 18-inch 5-spoke wheels, improved 4-wheel disc brakes that incorporate ABS with EBD and Brake Assist to reduce brake drag and maximize fuel economy. Powering the RDX is a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 273 horsepower, 33 more than the previous RDX. This engine is mated to an all-new 6-speed automatic transmission with a lock-up torque converter, and an improved, lighter weight all-wheel-drive system for better performance and increased fuel efficiency.
