Acura TLX Concept
Acura has unveiled the Acura TLX Prototype as a preview of the all-new 2015 TLX performance-luxury sedan. This vehicle has been created using the theme "Red Carpet Athlete" to deliver a combination of luxurious elegance and sporty performance. It features next-generation Acura powertrain and handling technologies to truly shine. The TLX Prototype will join the ILX compact luxury sedan and the RLX luxury performance sedan as the third model in theAcura sedan lineup.
According to Mike Accavitti, Senior Vice President of American Honda Motor Co. Inc., "The Acura TLX Prototype is a precursor of some amazing things we have in store for our Acura sedan customers. As you would expect from an Acura, this completely new model will offer innovative technologies that break down the barriers between the driver and the machine to deliver a more intuitive, connected and personal driving experience."
The TLX Prototype has been painted Acura Athletic Red Pearl, and has a lean contour with taut body panels, a low and wide stand, shortened front and rear overhangs, and dynamic fender arching. It also has Jewel Eye™ LED headlights and custom-made five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and 265/35ZR20 low-profile tires. The hood is sculpted with bilateral ridgelines for a hint of its performance capabilities, and unique side mirrors with LED lights fused into its base. When clicking on the turn indicator, the lights come to life, emitting a 3D appearance.
