Two new engines, including the 200 HP, 1750 cc turbocharged petrol engine have powered the Alfa Romeo 159 into the market segment D, quickly garnering a majority share of Alfa Romeo sales.
Under their captivating exteriors, Alfa Romeos come packed with the latest performance technology. The 1750 cc turbocharged petrol engine, built by FPT - Fiat Powertrain Technologies, abides by Euro 5 standards and puts out 200 HP between 4,750 and 5,500 rpm with 320 Nm of torque at only 1,400 rpm. Also part of the package is a six-speed manual gearbox and advanced ignition control solutions which include direct fuel injection, two continuously variable valve timing units, a turbocharger and a scavenging control system.
Thanks to the new 1750 cc engine, the Alfa Romeo 159 has an impressive top speed of 235 kph and accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 7.7 seconds. This combination of style and performance has allowed the Alfa Romeo 159 to become a true embodiment of Alfa's motoring legacy.
