Aston Martin DB2

The iconic Aston Martin DB2 was released in 1950. It was based on the 2-litre sports chassis design but was 9 inches shorter in wheelbase. Its body was designed by the renowned Frank Feeley, built around a square section tube frame and completed with an aluminium body. The engine was masterminded by the great W.O. Bentley, equipped with twin overhead camshafts, hemispherical combustion chambers, 90 mm stroke and 78 mm bore. In standard form, power output was 105bhp. A 125bhp Vantage version was later made available. The DB2 was known for its great performance, confident chassis and character. It was available in both Coupe and Drophead Coupe versions, and had a capacity of 2580 cc. Details of the car were released to the press on April 12, 1950 and was shown as a production car at the New York Motor Show on April 15-23. Technical Specifications
