Aston Martin DBS

The Aston Martin DBS was unveiled at Blenheim Palace on September 25, 1967 and was originally intended for limited production. It was designed by William Towns and employed the six-cylinder, 3,995 cc engine featured in the Aston Martin DB6. Following an announcement on 27th September, 1969 the DBS was also made available as the DBSV8. The DBSV8 was a four-seat grand tourer, capable of 160 mph and featured 15" light weight alloy wheels with ventilated brake discs (as opposed to the wire wheels employed on the DBS), as well as four quartz iodine headlights set into an alternative version of the iconic Aston Martin grille.
