Aston Martin is introducing a plethora of developments to their two most admired vehicles - the Vanquish ultimate GT and Rapide S. These 15 Model Year (15MY) cars arrive with a Touchtronic III eight-speed automatic gearbox, enhancing performance, manoeuvrability, fuel economy, and emissions. This is the first time that this superior gearbox has been included in a transaxle setup that has been optimised by the British carmaker and technical partner, ZF.
The acceleration of Vanquish and Rapide S are equipped with quicker rates: Vanquish rapidly accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds (3.8 seconds 0-100 km/h) while Rapide S covers the same distance in only 4.2 seconds (4.4 seconds 0-100 km/h), a 0.5 second reduction from its predecessor. This outstanding performance makes Vanquish the speediest series production Aston Martin ever.
