Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 Roadster
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 Roadster is a motorsport-inspired special edition that brings Aston Martin's illustrious racing history to the road. Replacing the V8 Vantage N400 of 2007, this special edition V8 Vantage offers an output of 420bhp and is available in three body styles: Coupe, Roadster, and recently-introduced V12 Vantage. Both six-speed manual and optional Sportshift automated manual transmission can be found in this edition.
The N420 draws inspiration from the company's experiences at the iconic Nürburgring 24-hour race. In 2006, a nearly-standard V8 Vantage called ‘Rose’ was driven by a team of Aston Martin employees, finishing 4th in its class and 24th overall amongst a field of 200 specialized racing cars. This success led to customer racing programmes and technological developments that were incorporated in Aston Martin's road cars. Every year since, Aston Martin has competed in this gruelling race, achieving multiple class victories and podiums with the V8 and V12 Vantages and the four-door Rapide.
