Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante
First introduced in 1977, the
Aston Martin V8 Vantage was celebrated for its top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h) and was labeled "Britain's Supercar". It shared its engine with the
Aston Martin Lagonda. Though related to the V8, it featured distinct details like a closed-off hood and grille that distinguished it from its predecessor.
The 1978 Series II model had a more integrated spoiler, smoother body-lines, and luxe wood interior features. The 1986 to 1989 Series III was a mechanical update featuring a more powerful V8, 16 inch (406 mm) wheels, and a flat hood, with some changes in design for the US market.
A Volante convertible version of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage was also produced.
