Aston Martin V8 Zagato Volante

The Aston Martin V8 Zagato Volante was first unveiled at the 1987 Geneva Motor Show in a limited edition run of just 25 models, although its impressive design and reception meant that the eventual production total went up to 37. The styling of the Volante differed from the standard coupe in the addition of flip-up front headlight covers, and the removal of the hood bulge, afforded by the less powerful engine housed under the hood. Some of the models did not feature the flip-up lights, however. The Aston Martin V8 Zagato was actually previewed as a design concept in 1985 at the Geneva Auto Show, and all 50 available models were sold within the same year just by looking at a scale model and drawings. Three prototype models were then developed a year later for Geneva 1986. Technical Specifications
