Aston Martin Vanquish Volante
Aston Martin is introducing a series of important updates to its two most successful models: the Vanquish Ultimate GT and Rapide S four-door four-seat sports car. With the 15 Model Year (15MY) cars that will soon go on sale around the world, Aston Martin is not only providing enhanced performance, but also improved fuel economy and emissions, and a more precise driving experience. These cars are now equipped with a Touchtronic III eight-speed automatic gearbox that has been placed into a transaxle layout after significant work between Aston Martin and technical partner, ZF. The 0-60 mph acceleration times for both models have seen a reduction, with the Vanquish boasting a down time from 4.1 to just 3.6 seconds (3.8 seconds 0-100 km/h) and the Rapide S doing the same in 4.2 seconds (4.4 seconds 0-100 km/h) - a half second quicker than the previous model. Vanquish is now officially the fastest accelerating series production Aston Martin in the company's 101 years of history.
