Aston Martin Vantage GT4
The newest Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for 2011 has design inspiration taken from the Aston Martin V12 Vantage road car. This gives the car improved aerodynamics and downforce advantages, coupled with an engine remap to the 4.7 litre v8 for increased power and torque. Keeping much of the same infrastructure as the previous 2009 4.7 litre model, the base engine and suspension has been maintained but with the addition of a Bosch developed ABS and traction control for the first time. The car also has a new splitter to increase downforce and improved cooling to the engine, brakes and radiator. The back is redesigned with a larger boot flip, carbon fiber diffusion and rear underfloor all leading to increased downforce. Aston Martin Racing has seen immense success with over 80 Vantage GT4s delivered to customers worldwide. It has won multiple class titles at the Dubai 24 Hours, Nürburgring 24 Hours and Spa 24 hours as well as the European GT4 Cup. Finally, it has its own one-make series, the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge of Great Britain, which was won in its inaugural year by Chris and Ant Scragg. The Vantage GT4 will be eligible for all these series in the GT4 class.
