At the 2008 Paris Motor Show ( October 2-10, 2008 ), Audi unveiled the concept study of the Audi A1 Sportback that features five-doors and four-seats for the sub-compact class . The car measures 3.99-meters long (13.09 ft) and 1.75-meters wide (5.74 ft) and displays the unmistakable signature of a true Audi with its dynamic styling and highest-class quality. Additionally, the Audi A1 Sportback is also outfitted with the latest technological advances that take efficiency, dynamism, and motoring pleasure to the next level . The concept model is powered by a 1.4-L TFSI engine with an output of 110 kW (150 hp) complemented by an S tronic dual-clutch transmission. As an enhancement, a 20 kW (27 hp) electric motor has been incorporated in the drivetrain, able to generate up to a maximum torque of 150 Nm (110.63 lb-ft). With the combination of TFSI and electric motor, the car accelerates at impressive speeds. Driving performance is further enhanced by the front-wheel drive that is augmented by an ESP-controlled active front differential lock for optimum output.
