Audi A3 2.0 TDI 3-door

At the 2003 Geneva Motor Show, Audi revealed the second-generation of the A3, the Typ 8P, which was designed by Walter de'Silva. It first appeared in 3-door hatchback guise, with four cylinder engines and a new mechanical platform. It had a redesigned interior which was more roomy, and was fitted with Fuel Stratified Injection and a six-speed gearbox, except for the base 1.6. In mid 2003, two sport models were added to the A3 line-up: a 2.0 Turbo FSI model that had a power output of 200 PS (147 kW) and a 3.2 VR6 model with 250 PS (184 kW). The Quattro four wheel drive and the S-Tronic semi-auto gearbox were available as options (quattro is standard on the V6) on all models that had a power output of 140 PS and above. In June 2004, the A3 range received a 5-door variant, the Sportback, which was 8 cm (3 in) longer than the 3-door model. Its interior provided more legroom for rear passengers and had a larger luggage compartment (370 litres). It also had a new grille which had initially appeared in the A8 W12. The S-Line trim level was made available in some models of the A3 in 2005, and the 3-door version had the frontend of the Sportback. The A3 was also launched in the American market that year, and had only the Sportback body style. The entry-level engine was a 2.0 TFSI engine with 169 PS (125 kW), and then a 3.2 V6 Quattro followed in 2006. An upgraded 2.0 TDI with 170 PS (125 kW) was introduced in April 2006. In August 2006, Audi announced the S3, the new top-of-the-range model in the A3 line-up. Its 2.0 TFSI engine had an increase in power output to 265 PS (195 kW), which was achieved by increasing the turbo pressure to 2.2 bar. The S3 had a 6-speed manual gearbox and Quattro four wheel drive as standard, and could go from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.7 seconds. The car's springs and dampers were tuned for a firmer feel, and it had a 25 mm (1 inch) lowered ride height compared to other models in the range. The S3 had 225/40 R18 tyres fitted to it as standard. Engines 1.6 L (1595 cc), 75 kW (102 PS)
