Audi A4 2.0T

Audi's B7 platform which debuted in late 2004 is the newest version of the Audi A4 B6. Audi specifically designed the B7 and did not share it with Volkswagen, though the platform's internal name still follows the PL46 (longitudinal passenger car platform, size 4, generation 6) outline which was set by the A4 B6. Audi made several changes to the engine lineup, the most notable being the 2.0 TFSI and 3.2V6 FSI engines which featured Fuel Stratified Injection and had a power output of 200 and 255 PS (147 and 188 kW) respectively but use four, rather than five, valves per cylinder. The 2.0 TDI engine was the first of its kind to combine Pumpe Düse (PD) technology and 16 valves, and the larger 2.5 TDI was increased to 3.0L with a204 PS (150 kW). Quattro was offered as an option on mid to high range models and both Munitronic and Tiptronic automatic gearboxes were available universally. In addition to the S4 that remained unchanged, Audi also reintroduced the RS4, this time on a sedan body with a naturally aspirated 4.2 V8 FSI engine. The 3rd-generation quattro system, which used 40:60 front-rear power distribution, was also included. Furthermore, in late 2005 a limited edition "DTM Edition" was released. It featured the 2.0T FSI engine which was created to have 220 PS (162 kW) with standard quattro, and the front grill was designed to match the Audi A6. The Audi A4 B7 Cabriolet became available in February 2006. This model featured an entry-level 2.0TDI however, it is not available with the Multitronic gearbox.
