Audi A4 Avant 3.2 quattro

Introduced in late 2004, the redesigned Audi A4 was based on the B7 platform, unique to Audi and an evolution of the B6 platform according to Audi's internal platform nomenclature. The engine lineup was renewed, featuring the Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) 2.0 TFSI and 3.2 V6, each delivering 200 and 255 PS (147 and 188 kW) respectively but now having four valves per cylinder. The 2.0 TDI engine was now equipped with Pumpe Düse (PD) technology and 16 valves. Meanwhile, the larger 2.5 TDI was increased to 3.0 L, reaching 204 PS (150 kW). Quattro, available as an option or standard on most mid- to high-end models, was featured alongside the multitronic and Tiptronic automatic gearboxes. The S4 for the B7 remained unchanged. The RS4, back in the lineup for the first time on a sedan body, came equipped with a normally aspirated 4.2 V8 FSI engine and the third-generation quattro system which had 40:60 front-rear power distribution. A "DTM Edition" limited edition variant became available in late 2005 and was available as a regular option in 2006, this time with increased power of 2.0T FSI to 220 PS (162 kW) and standard quattro. The A6-style full height front grill was also added. The Cabriolet model, released in February 2006, was available with a new entry-level 2.0 TDI engine, though not on the Multitronic option.
