Audi A4 Cabriolet
The Audi A4 Cabriolet, which hit the market in February 2006, is a car based on the B7 platform, unique to Audi and not shared with Volkswagen. It is technically a revised version of the B6 design, according to Audi's internal platform designation PL46. This Cabriolet features an updated engine lineup, with the 2.0 TFSI and 3.2 V6 FSI both equipped with fuel stratified injection and now four valves per cylinder. The 2.0 TDI engine is offered with a Pumpe Düse (PD) technology and 16 valves, whereas the 2.5 TDI was increased to 3.0 L, with 204 PS (150 kW). The quattro AWD system is optional or standard on mid- to high-end models, with multitronic or Tiptronic gearboxes available. Along with the S4, the RS4 was also introduced with a normally aspirated 4.2 V8 FSI engine and the 3rd-generation of quattro system for 40:60 front-rear power distribution. Furthermore, the 2006 "DTM Edition" 2.0T FSI engine was tuned to 220 PS (162 kW) and the full-height front grill of the Audi A6 design was adopted. As of now, the 2.0 TDI Multitronic transmission is only available on the front-wheel drive models.
