Audi A6 4.2 quattro Sline

The Audi A6, Typ 4F, released in 2004, is a refined evolution of the C5 model. It features a visible redesign, now being 4,927 millimetres (194.0 in) and boasting a more iconic "single-frame grille". A sophisticated "tornado line" incorporates the front and rear lights in the body shoulders, making this car stand out as a true Audi. The C6 iteration of the A6 comes with advanced technology, namely the Multi Media Interface (MMI). The MMI system controls all in-car functions and electronic accessories via a single display, eliminating the large number of buttons most cars sport. It also features Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) as the direct injection technology. The A6 offers two types of transmission: the multitronic, for front-wheel drive models, and the six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission for four-wheel drive models. Standard in the most powerful models is Audi's "trademark" Torsen-based quattro permanent four-wheel drive. In 2005, the A6 won the World Car of the Year award and the Practical Caravan "Towcar of the Year" awards due to its various towing-related features. The Avant was previewed that same year by the Audi Avantissimo concept and released soon thereafter. The A6 allroad quattro, featuring a 2.7-litre V6 or 3.0-litre V6 Turbocharged Direct Injection diesel engine, or a 3.2-litre V6 or 4.2-litre V8 petrol engine, was made available in 2006.
