Audi A6 Avant

The Audi A6 Avant was introduced in 2004 as the second generation of Typ 4F, which was designed by Satoshi Wada in 2001. This new model has a larger body compared to its predecessor, the C5, being 4,927 millimetres (194.0 in). It follows Audi's "single-frame grille" style and also features the "tornado line" which runs from the front to the rear of the car's body, below the shoulders. This iteration of the A6 comes equipped with more advanced technology, such as the Multi Media Interface (MMI). With this system, drivers can control climate control, car settings, and accessories through the central control screen, minimising the need for several dashboard buttons. Additionally, Audi implemented Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) direct injection technology into the internal combustion engines. Manual and automatic transmissions are available, as is Audi's signature quattro permanent four-wheel drive, depending on the model. The Avant of the A6 was previewed by the Audi Avantissimo concept in 2001 and released in 2005. It includes many of the same features as the A6 with the addition of a 123 Trailer Stability Program, perfect for towing. For all its features, the A6 won the World Car of the Year award in 2005.
