Audi A8 L 3.0 quattro

The Audi A8 L 3.0 quattro is the second-generation A8 model from the Volkswagen Group D3 platform, unveiled in July 2002 and launched in November 2002 in Europe and in June 2003 as a 2004 model in the USA. It is roomier than its predecessor and seats four or five people depending on the configuration of the rear seats. The development of the vehicle goes back to 1996 and the design process began in 1997 in Ingolstadt. Various sketch proposals were drawn up before six of them were chosen to be presented as full-size clay models. After a year, the final theme was chosen and assistants like Miklós Kovács and Imre Hasanic gave their input. At the same time Jurgen Albamonte worked on the interior design, with Norbert Schneider, Mark Bergold, and Enzo Rothfuss being the main contributing designers. Additionally, Jurgen Schröder designed the Multi Media Interface (MMI) and Barbara Krömeke and Melinda Jenkins took care of the color and trim.
