Audi RS Q3 Concept
At Auto China 2012 in Beijing, Audi revealed a very special concept vehicle based on the
Q3: the Audi RS Q3 Concept. It showcased this compact SUV in an excitingly dynamic way.
The unique blue-painted Audi RS Q3 Concept is powered by a 2.5 TFSI engine that produces 265 kW (360 hp). Additionally, its body lowered by 25 mm (0.98 inches) and heightened with striking details demonstrated the full potential of the Q3 model series.
The single-frame radiator grille was edged with brushed and polished aluminum and featured a new honeycomb grille insert with a three-dimensional effect. It also included a silver quattro logo as a sculpted detail. The headlights were subtly tinted and featured chrome parts and carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) panels.
The redesigned bumper featured powerful edges around the outer air intakes which were divided into two sections. The inner sections included honeycomb screen inserts while the outer sections were constructed with CFRP with a smooth funnel shape. The front spoiler was made out of CFRP and painted with a matte black finish. The entire bottom of the bumper was coated with a blue clearcoat paint.
The doors, sills, and wheel housings were adorned with matt blue and black coloring, while the side windows and mirror housings were framed with matte aluminum trim. A long roof spoiler that extended towards the rear also featured the same striking Ordos Blue color - a matte blue with a slight yellow tint.
