Audi has unveiled 2012 R8 models for the U.S. market, offering a combination of stylish design and top-notch performance. The R8 V8 and R8 V10 Coupes have been advanced further with the introduction of the Exclusive Selection Editions. As these models will arrive in a limited volume, only 20 R8 V8 cars and 30 R8 V10 vehicles will see production.
The 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V8 sports several eye-catching changes like Daytona Gray matte exterior, carbon fiber exterior splitter and diffuser, 19" titanium five-arm double spoke wheels, black grille surround, black exhaust finishers, R8 GT tail lamps, and red brake calipers. Inside, this model features an exclusive leather package with Crimson Red elements, contrast stitching, Navigation surround and contoured leather multifunctional steering wheel. It is powered by a 4.2-liter FSI V8 engine that puts out 430 hp and 316 lb-ft of torque.
The 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V10 model comes with an elegant Ibis white exterior with Brilliant Black accents along with R8 GT tail lamps and 19" bi-color e-tron wheels. The interior features Ibis finishes and Alabaster White contrast stitching and a Carbon Fiber monoposto driver's cockpit. This model is equipped with a 5.2-liter FSI V10 engine which generates 525 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. The customer can opt for either a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic R tronic transmission.
Both models come with Audi ultra lightweight technology and Audi quattro all-wheel drive, offering superior speed, performance and handling. The prices for the 2012 Audi R8 Exclusive Selection Editions starts from $137,700 for the R8 V8 manual transmission and up to $170,6000 for the R8 V10 R tronic transmission.
