Audi RS6 Avant

The Audi C5 RS6 Avant (Typ 4B) was the flagship model of the Volkswagen Group C5 platform (1997-2004) and featured a five-door, five-seat configuration with a four-door, five-seat saloon/sedan model launched shortly after. Constructed on a similar base as the C5 S6 and the C5 A6 V8 quattro, the RS6 was built from July 2002 through September 2004. According to official Audi documentation, the RS6's 0-100 kilometres per hour (62.1 mph) acceleration time was 4.6 seconds (s) with a maximum speed of 250 km/h (155.3 mph). Even with the recommended high octane 98 RON "Super Plus" unleaded petrol, some owners reported being able to reach 270 km/h (167.8 mph). However, utilizing lower octane-rated petrol 95 RON "Premium" unleaded reduced engine power output and performance. The vehicle had luggage compartments ranging from 455 litres (16.07 cu ft) to 1,590 litres (56.15 cu ft) for the estate version, and 424 litres (14.97 cu ft) for the saloon. Powering the C5 RS6 was an all-aluminium alloy 4,172 cubic centimetres (254.6 cu in) twin-turbocharged ('biturbo'), double overhead camshaft, 5 valve per cylinder version of Audi's 4.2-litre 90° V8 petrol engine (parts code prefix: 077, identification code: BCY). The combination of turbochargers, variable inlet valve timing, and the 4.2-litre V8 engine produced a maximum power output of 331 kilowatts (450 PS; 444 bhp) at 5,700 to 6,400 rpm with a torque of 580 newton metres (428 lbf·ft) over 1,950 to 5,600 rpm.
