The new Audi S3 Sportback is the leader in its class with 221 kW (300 hp) and 380 Nm (280.27 lb-ft) of torque. And it does it all in just 5.0 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph). Its engine is completely redesigned compared to its predecessor, offering 1,984 cc of displacement with a 5,500 rpm rated output. Deliveries of power are always available from 1,800 to 5,500rpm. This four-cylinder engine responds to the driver’s desires with instant power and a sporty sound. The Audi drive select system even highlights the engine’s power acoustically when in dynamic mode. All this is supported by augmented technologies like dual injection, the Audi valvelift system, and an exhaust manifold integrated in the cylinder head, as well as innovative thermal management. Optional six-speed S tronic transmission gives even quicker acceleration over the 6-speed manual, just 5-tenths of a second faster. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155.34 mph). Furthermore, Launch Control ensures that power goes straight to the road with no tire slip. The new 2.0 TFSI averages just 6.9 liters per 100 km (34.09 US mpg) when used with the S tronic (7.0 liters [33.60 US mpg] with the manual) — a reduction of 1.5 liters per 100 km compared to the
previous Audi S3 Sportback.
