Audi S4 Avant

The Audi S4 Avant was a wagon version introduced to the lineup from 1999, alongside the second generation S4 sedan. The S4 was fitted with a powerful 2.7 L, twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produced 265 PS (195 kW/261 hp) in European trim and 250 hp / 258 ft. lbs. torque in North America. It accelerated to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.6 seconds and boasted an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), making it both the quickest sedan in the Audi range and one of the quickest sedans in the world at the time. Both a six-speed manual and a five speed Tiptronic transmission were available. Production ceased on the B5 S4 in 2001. The B5 S4 has a loyal fan-base of enthusiasts who strive to achieve supercar-level power and performance. It is regarded as having the highest potential of any S4 in terms of power and can easily be upgraded from the stock K03 turbos to larger RS4 K04 turbos, providing up to 450 hp (335 kW).
