Audi S4 Cabriolet
The B7 platform S4 is Audi's most recent version of the high-performance vehicle, and debuted in late 2005. While upgrades compared to the outgoing B6 S4 are mostly cosmetic, the German auto giant has made some notable changes, such as new springs and dampers included in the suspension, and a recalibrated quattro system now maintaining a 40:60 front-to-rear torque split on average. This system is adjustable and can vary according to the driving conditions, as can be seen in the new "fish mouth" grill, narrow headlamps, "L" tail-lamps and quad exhaust tips, which set the B7 S4 apart from its B6 predecessor.
Another interesting development comes from German tuner Abt Sportsline, who decided to replace the V8 engine with a modified version of the 3.2 V6 FSI engine in their version of the B7 S4 - the Abt AS4-R. This car now features a 480 PS (353 kW/473 hp) engine, and can reach a maximum speed of 300 km/h (186 mph), with acceleration reaching 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. Further modifications to chassis include a stiffer adjustable suspension, 19 inch wheels and Dunlop SP Sportmaxx tires.
