Audi S4 Avant
The Audi S4 Avant was added to the second-generation S4 lineup in 1999. This sedan was powered by a 2.7 L, twin-turbocharged V6 engine, producing 265 PS (195 kW/261 hp) in European trim and 250 hp / 258 ft. lbs. torque in the North American market. It could accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.6 seconds and had a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Standard equipment included a six-speed manual transmission as well as quattro all-wheel-drive. A five-speed Tiptronic transmission was also available as an option. The B5 S4 was produced until 2001 and has a strong following of dedicated enthusiasts who focus on tuning their cars to reach supercar-level power and performance. By replacing the K03 turbos with the larger RS4's K04 turbos, aftermarket and home tuners can easily increase its output to the 450 hp (335 kW) range.
