Audi has revitalized the A5 model series by adding advanced technologies to the models, such as the Sportback, Coupé, Cabriolet, and S5. These new versions offer higher efficiency, enhanced performance, and smarter infotainment solutions. The exterior has also seen a change, with revamps to the rear lights and headlights that now come with optional xenon plus technology and LED daytime running lights. The four TDI diesel and three TFSI gasoline units under the new engine lineup all feature forced induction and direct injection. The 1.8 TFSI is especially noteworthy, as it boasts an 11% decrease in fuel consumption. Each engine is also matched to the right drivetrain – six-speed manual, multitronic, seven-speed S tronic, front-wheel drive, or quattro drive. With S tronic, the quattro drivetrain incorporates the crown-gear center differential and torque vectoring, plus the sport differential adds an extra layer of thrill. On top of that, the dynamic steering and optional Audi Drive Select system further enhance driving pleasure. A new addition to the A5 family is its electromechanical power steering.
