Audi Sport quattro Concept
For more than three decades, quattro has been a synonym for Porsche and the technology that brings it to life. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic Sport quattro, Audi is taking the wraps off its newest concept car - the Audi Sport quattro concept show car. Boasting 195 kW (700 hp) and a coupe-like design, the Sport quattro concept shows that quattro is much more than just a technology; it's a way of life.
Since the release of the original Ur-quattro in 1980, Audi has sold over five million cars equipped with permanent all-wheel drive, far more than any other premium carmaker. The power of the quattro concept has been proven time and time again in racing, with the Sport quattro leading the charge in 1983 at the IAA. Packed with 225 kW (306hp) and top-of-the-line features, it was the sports car of its day and it went on to write racing history. In 1987, Walter Röhrl drove the Sport quattro to a big win in the Pike's Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado, USA.
