The Audi TT offroad concept is a distinct vehicle that merges the swiftness of a coupe with the versatility of a compact SUV. Introduced at the 2014 Beijing International Automobile Exhibition, this four-door model provides a distinct twist to the Audi design language. Powered by a plug-in hybrid drive consisting of two electric motors and a system output of 300 kW (408 hp), it offers superior performance while consuming just 1.9 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (123.8 US mpg). "The Audi TT offroad concept reveals how we may envision a new model in the future TT family," declares Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development. "It combines the sporty lineage of the TT with the assets of a compact Audi SUV. The plug-in hybrid drive with the potential of inductive charging is a major step towards the mobility of the future. We elected to introduce the Audi TT offroad concept in China, our second local market, as it symbolizes the urban mobility of the future: it is sustainable, dynamic, intelligent and connected." The plug-in hybrid drive The plug-in hybrid drive of the Audi TT offroad concept yields 300 kW (408 hp) of system output and 650 Nm (479.2 lb-ft) of system torque. In mere 5.2 seconds, the show car powers from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) and simply breezes up to its electronically established top speed of 250 km/h (155.3 mph). It has an exceptional fuel efficiency rating of 1.9 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (123.8 US mpg), with its CO2 equivalent being 45 grams per kilometer (72.4 g/mile).
