Audi TT Roadster Hardtop
The Audi TT Roadster Hardtop is a two-door sports car based on the Volkswagen Group A platform. It features a transversely-mounted engine with front or quattro all-wheel drive, and was initially available with a 1.8 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. For 2001, an upgraded quattro model with a 225 horsepower engine was released.
In late 1999/early 2000, all TT models were recalled due to issues with the car's handling that were caused by throttle lift-off oversteer. To increase stability, modifications were made that included rear-wing spoilers and suspension settings. In 2003, a 250 horsepower 3.2L VR6 was added, followed in 2004 by a dual-clutch transmission and stiffer suspension.
