Audi TT quattro sport
The Audi TT quattro sport is available as both a two-door coupé and a two-door roadster, both built on the Volkswagen A platform. It's driven by a transversely mounted engine, with either front or quattro all wheel drive available. When first released, the TT came with a 1.8 L turbocharged inline four cylinder 20-valve engine that produces 180 PS (132 kW). In 2001, a more powerful Quattro model was released, with a 225 PS (165 kW) engine and a larger turbocharger, an additional intercooler on the driver's side, forged connecting rods, a dual exhaust, and a few other increased power-related internals.
In 2003, a 3.2 L VR6 engine was released, producing 250 PS (184 kW), along with the quattro all-wheel drive system. In 2004, a DSG (dual-clutch) gearbox was offered, improving acceleration with its drastically reduced shift time. Audi's TT quattro Sport model offers a lightened and power-boosted version producing 240 PS (176 kW) and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Despite this, Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has noted that the car's handling and steering are "boring".
