Audi TT ultra quattro Concept

Audi is taking the Wörthersee 2013 event to the next level and making it the "Home of quattro" with the reveal of the Audi TT ultra quattro concept. This car combines low weight with increased performance, while a range of high-performance cars will give attendees an insight into pure sportiness. At the show, fans can also get up close to legendary cars such as the Sport quattro S1, as well as the brand's latest RS models and racing vehicles such as the Audi R18 e-tron quattro, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 2012. The Audi TT ultra quattro concept will be the main attraction at this year's Wörthersee. Combining a small total weight of just 1,111 kilograms (2,449.34 lb) with the power of a 2.0 TFSI engine (228 kW/310 hp and 400Nm torque), it sprints from 0 to 62.14 mph in 4.2 seconds and has a power-to-weight ratio of 3.6 kg/hp that puts it in the super sports car class. Looking a bit deeper, we can see that this concept car also pays tribute to the automotive lightweight construction known to Audi. The current series-production Audi TT's body weight, 206 kilograms (454.15 lb) plus 98 kilograms (216.05 lb) for the detachable body parts, is proof of Audi's excellence when it comes to lightweight construction. To get to the body of the Wörthersee show car, Audi's engineers from Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm tuned the Audi Space Frame (ASF) used in the current TT series, resulting in a further weight reduction of 43 kilograms (94.80 lb). The combined optimized body frame and detachable parts resulted in a remarkable total weight saving of 100 kilograms (220.46 lb).
