Audi TTS Roadster
Audi has unveiled its new sports car, the Audi TTS, the apex of the TT model line. Come early summer, the TTS will be available at dealer showrooms. Packed under the hood is a 2L TFSI high-performance engine, generating an impressive 200 kW (272 hp). That amount of power allows the TTS Coupe to accelerate 0-100 km/h (62.14 mph) in merely 5.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h (155.34 mph). Both a 2 + 2-seater Coupe and Roadster model are available.
Designed to attract young, dynamic customers, the TTS personifies Audi's, Vorsprung durch Technik ("advancement through technology"), mantra. The TFSI engine combines gasoline direct injection and turbocharging, combining torque of 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm with maximum output of 200 kW (272 hp). This compact, lightweight four-cylinder unit has been reengineered and reinforced for top performance in the TTS. The TFSI offers impressive fuel efficiency, with an average consumption of 8.0 l/100 km (29.375 mpg) for the Coupe with manual transmission and 8.2 l/100 km (28.659 mpg) for the roadster when equipped with the optional S tronic dual-clutch transmission.
