Audi allroad quattro 2000 posters

Audi allroad quattro 2.7T

The Audi allroad Quattro was a Wagon crossover automobile produced by Audi from 2000 to 2006. It shared the same platform with the second generation "C5" A6 Avant (station wagon). The allroad had distinguishing features such as an advanced air suspension system which allowed the vehicle to increase ground clearance up to 21 cm (8.3 in) and a low-range mode, a feature usually not found with quattro-equipped vehicles. It was powered by two engines: a twin-turbo V6 2.7L and a 2.5L TDI Diesel, and later on, a V8 4.2L version. The allroad was designed with the capability to traverse rough road conditions in mind, and its air suspension system provided a sporty driving experience much like that of the Audi S6. Sales for the Audi allroad Quattro, unfortunately, did not meet its expectations in North America despite its positive reviews. The costly price of the vehicle and Audi's ambiguous advertising are thought to be factors to its lack of success. An increase in sales happened in 2004 when its less expensive Diesel engine option was available, but further decreased in 2005 and eventually culminated in the car's production's discontinuation in the same year. The large size of its Q7 SUV and the smaller, sportier Q5 which is more car-based, may have replaced its appeal. The allroad model has since been restyled and reintroduced in Europe in 2006. It is considered to be cheaper in price than the Q7 model, with an excellent driving experience, some off-road credentials, and a superior quality cabin.
