Audi e-tron Spyder Concept

At the 2010 Paris Motor Show, Audi unveiled the Audi e-tron Spyder Concept—an open sports car study with a plug-in hybrid drive. Measuring 4.06 meters (13.32 ft) long, 1.81 meters (5.94 ft) wide and 1.11 meters (3.64 ft) high, this two-seater packs a punch with a 221-kW (300-hp) twin-turbo V6 TDI at the rear axle and two electric motors with a total of 64 kW at the front axle. With an estimated total weight of just 1,450 kilograms (3,196.70 lb), it’s no surprise the Audi e-tron Spyder Concept can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in just 4.4 seconds, with a top speed electronically governed at 250 km/h (155.34 mph). The TDI has a powerful torque of 650 Nm (489.42 lb-ft), plus the combined torque of the two electric motors (352 Nm or 259.62 lb-ft) allows for a boosting process during acceleration. The car’s power distribution is also intelligent and allows for optimal dynamics in all situations. Torque vectoring helps with driving precision and excellent agility, and works by distributing torque to the left and right wheels depending on the situation. Adding to this is the car’s low weight, short wheelbase and perfect 50:50 weight distribution, giving it a go-kart-like drivability on bends and neutrality at higher handling limits.

The Audi e-tron Concept 2010 is a powerful car and its design is something to behold. Show your appreciation for a timeless classic by getting your hands on Audi e-tron Concept 2010 posters, mouse pads, t-shirts, and calendars. Get your favorite one now!
