Audi metroproject quattro Concept

At the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show (24.10. - 11.11.2007), Audi showcased the metroproject quattro, an optimistic concept car that featured remarkable styling, a space-saving design, and unparalleled quality. Moreover, the car came loaded with cutting-edge technology that provided maximum efficiency, power, and joyful driving experiences - all of which was true to the Audi name. Underneath the hood, the metroproject quattro featured a hybrid powertrain setup that included a 1.4-litre TFSI engine, capable of producing 110 kW (150 bhp), combined with the S-tronic Direct Shift Gearbox. Additionally, it had a 30 kW (41 bhp) electric motor on the rear axle, increasing torque by up to 200 Nm while accelerating. This allowed the car to shift from front-wheel-drive to quattro, offering an ideal balance of performance and efficiency. Additionally, the electric motor enabled the vehicle to drive in zero-emission mode in residential areas, with a range of up to 100 km per charge from the lithium-ion batteries. Audi also incorporated automatic start/stop, energy regeneration, and a combustion engine fuel economy of 4.9 litres per 100 km. All of these elements pushed the metroproject quattro's CO2 emissions to an impressive 112 g/km, while providing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 201 km/h.
