Audi quattro Concept 2010 posters

Audi quattro Concept

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the iconic quattro, Audi is debuting an outstanding show car at the 2010 Paris Motor Show - the Audi quattro Concept. This dynamic driving machine features a 300 kW (408 hp) five-cylinder turbocharged engine, light weight body, and - of course - the next-generation of quattro permanent all-wheel drive.

First unveiled in the Geneva Motor Show in 1980, the quattro was beyond just a symbol of Audi's success but also the gold standard for combining motor sport qualities with practicality. Audi has now brought back the legendary status referenced by the 1984 Sport quattro, an advanced 306 hp variation of the Audi quattro Coupé, which had a reduced wheelbase. The current concept includes the sporty elements of the Audi RS5 production vehicle, such as a 150 millimeter (5.91 in) reduced wheelbase and lowered roofline by 40 millimeters (1.57 in). Additionally, the Audi engineers have manufactured a largely aluminum body, with the hood, rear hatch and other parts in carbon.
