The Bentley Brooklands is an exquisite new model, signifying the company's comeback to the luxury coupé market and reinforcing its prominence as the creator of the world's most luxurious coupés. Embodying style, power, and opulence, the Bentley Brooklands boasts a four-seater, grand touring coupe with timeless British aesthetic and riveting performance.
Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen, Bentley's chairman, explains the concept behind the new coupé: "The long-standing sporting pedigree of Bentley, established by the 'Bentley Boys' who triumphed in the 1920s on the renowned Brooklands racetrack, was the drive for our latest coupe, representing all the style, strength, and majesty of its era."
Its sporting design cues are enabled by the Crewe-built V8 engine––the most robust V8 Bentley has ever built, a 530bhp, twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre engine with 1050Nm of torque. Every Bentley Brooklands coupé is hand-crafted with traditional body-building strategies and exceptional craftsmanship in wood veneer and leather hide. The production of this exclusive car is restricted to just 550 vehicles, with delivery scheduled to commence in the first half of 2008.
Exterior Design: Classic British Proportions
Pinterested by the past coupes of Bentley, Dirks van Braeckel, the Director of Styling, and his design team set out to construct a strong, agile, and majestic grand touring coupé. van Braeckel remarks, "We wanted to manufacture a grandiose coupé with iconic British proportions, adhering to the strongest whilst embracing the finest traditions of Bentley."
