Bentley Continental Flying Spur 2005 posters

Bentley Continental Flying Spur

At the 2005 Geneva Salon, the Bentley Continental Flying Spur made its international debut with a global launch starting in April of that year. This four-door Grand Tourer shares many similarities with the already successful, Continental GT, resembling a coupé. Boasted as the fastest four-door Bentley ever made and the fastest in the world, the Continental Flying Spur has a top speed of 195mph and a mixture of power, 'refinement, and craftsmanship. The launch of the Bentley Continental Flying Spur was part of a grand investment that began in 1998 when the company's Crewe factory and design, engineering, and manufacturing headquarters underwent extensive upgrades. 550 talented engineers, designers, and craftsmen and craftswomen collaborated in the state-of-the-art factory to create this lavish car. The Volkswagen Group provided use of its advanced testing facilities such as windtunnels, proving grounds, and prototyping. "The Continental Flying Spur is a brilliant example of how to match world-beating technologies with renowned craftsmanship," says Bentley chairman Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen. "It is a performance car but not at the cost of comfort and as such represents a unique proposition - a sumptuous and spacious four-door Grand Tourer with the heart and soul of a high-performance coupé."
