Bentley Continental Flying Spur Series 51
Series 51 is Bentley design at its most vibrant. With the Continental Flying Spur and Flying Spur Speed, customers can select from an exclusive range of recommended combinations crafted by Bentley's colour and trim designers at the company's headquarters in Crewe, England. Director of design, Dirk van Braeckel, states that the Series 51 design concept was inspired by the spirit of the inaugural Bentley styling department established by John Blatchley during the 1950s. It provides a customizable service with thousands of configuration choices available through Bentley's expansive colour and trim catalogue.
The Series 51 designs were introduced to the Continental GT and GTC in 2009, and the colour and trim team has now created 14 distinct designs for the Continental Flying Spur and Flying Spur Speed, allowing customers to customize their cars to their unique tastes. According to Melinda June-Jenkins, manager of colour and trim, this offers a "virtually bespoke ordering service".
