Bentley Continental Flying Star 2010 posters

Bentley Continental Flying Star

In early 2008, Touring Superleggera was approached by an avid and passionate collector who wished to create a unique automobile. To complete this project, multiple steps from design to execution needed to be taken into consideration, such as parameters for design, proportions, vehicle concepts, feasibility and technical factors. The goal was to diversify Bentley's very successful Continental model range and to explore new design concepts. The resulting design concept, baptised as a "shooting brake", featured a 2-door coupé with an expanded roof line and enlarged interior dimensions. This allowed for enough space to join a hunting party or a golf tournament with both elegance and efficiency—an idea that Touring Superleggera explored in 1966 with its Lamborghini Flying Star II prototype. This "Flying Star" has been applied to many different famous cars since the company's inception in 1926. In 2010, Touring Superleggera used the Bentley Continental GT as the basis of the new Bentley Continental Flying Star. This model set innovative and high standards for a new generation of Grand Tourers. With its very rigid platform, the GTC convertible proved to be the perfect choice for this project.
